Nearly every accredited college and university in the U.S. uses students scores on the ACT or the SAT I exam as admissions criteria. Furthermore, according to a recent Wall Street Journal article, these tests are not only being used for college selection and scholarships they're now being used by many employers after college. "The SATs, usually taken by high-school juniors and seniors, are now following many people through college and into the workplace as a defining performance measure and most employers who ask about the SAT say they want someone whose scores are well above the national average." So, for getting into the school of your choice and getting the scholarships and grants you deserve and getting the job you want its critical to do your absolute best on one or both of these college entrance exams. Many experts recommend taking both the ACT and SAT I. Because both tests have important differences, some students find they get a much better score on one than the other. These students can then make use of the better of the two results in their applications for admission and scholarships. Both the SAT and ACT are offered several times during the year. Youll find a calendar of upcoming dates on this web site. The PSAT, a preparatory test for underclassmen, is given only in October and is the only criteria for the awarding of National Merit Scholarships. Sophomores and juniors who do well on this test could be eligible to receive thousands of dollars under that program. |
"With the help of these cards, I got a 32 on the ACT (99th percentile) on my very first time taking the test. Thank you, In-a-Flash!" Anthony |
